CCTV MUST FOR BPUT EXAM CENTERS

The authorities of the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) announced that the colleges not having CCTV facility on the campus will not be allowed to conduct examinations from next academic session. Also it intends that the colleges under BPUT who wants to conduct examination on its campus has to give an undertaking stating that CCTV cameras will be installed in the examination halls.
The registrar of this BPUT Mr.Mihir Ranjan Nayak said that “Any college that will violate the undertaking will run the risk of losing its affiliation right away”. This decision was taken after the State Government issued a notice asking private engineering colleges to install CCTV cameras to check the exact happenings during examination added to that Mr.Nayak also said every college should submit the CCTV footage covering proceedings of the examination to the uiversity.If any identified footage found of a student of an unfair activity then he will be punished as per the guidelines of the university and the OCEA act. This will create awareness among the students to be careful during the examination process.
