CCTV cameras in Ahmadabad

The  Ahmadabad Municipal Corporation has started installing closed-circuit television(cctv) cameras across the city at public gardens, hospitals and bus stops. This process will be completed by June 15^th 2013.It is expected that morethan 500 cameras will be installed in the public places out of which 184 cameras will be allotted for 84 traffic junctions and also BRTS routes will have 102 cameras.
The following are the listed reasons which explain the necessity of CCTV cameras in Ahmadabad:
1.    CCTV helps to monitor most of the public places.
2.    The security level of the city will be increased through the process of investigating the criminal activities.
3.    It helps to monitor the water logging problems in the rainy seasons.
4.    CCTV cameras will also be used to detect the over-speeding of  vehicles on the roads  through which traffic rules offenders can be indentified easily and will be penalized.
Thus Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation made its hometown people to lead a happy and peaceful life by making the place safer.

Install CCTV cameras on National Highways: Bombay High Court

In order to avoid accidents due to over-speeding of vehicles in the National Highways Maharashtra Government has been informed by the Bombay High court to install the CCTV cameras across the state. This suggestion came from Justice Ajay Khanwilkar on a PIL praying for a direction to the state to ensure medical help to the victims within one hour of sustaining injuries in accidents on the Highways.
The court also suggested to provide CCTV cameras on the lamp posts when hiring road contractors for repairs on the highways. This would ensure that CCTVs would be in place on the Highways and they should be connected with the control room so that the vehicular movement could be constantly monitored to prevent accidents
The PIL contended that most of the accidents take place on highways due to over-speeding and overloading of vehicles. Also, speeding vehicles change lanes frequently thereby inviting accidents. Hope installing  the CCTV cameras will definitely solve the purpose of preventing accidents and also to make the public  to follow the road rules and regulations  through the cameras being installed.

KANPUR ZOO TO SPEND 60 LAKH ON IP-BASED CCTV CAMERAS

In order to monitor the activities of animals housed in different enclosures and also     the movement of visitors to curb incidents of eve-teasing Government of Lucknow has decided to install the IP based CCTV cameras in the Kanpur Zoo. A sum of RS.60 lakh has been allotted by the government for the installation process. As of now 4 cameras have been installed added to this 78 high definition CCTV cameras will be installed to cover all the enclosures. The Zoo administration has taken the opinion from concerned experts and finally decided to go for IP cameras because they have several advantages over CCTV cameras. Since they come with huge storage capacity even the night time happenings can very well be captured and recorded.
MR.K Thomas Director of the Kanpur zoo said that two CCTV DOME and FIXED cameras will be installed in the zoo. The dome type camera will capture pictures and videos at 360 degrees. The images captured by fixed cameras can be zoomed out and zoomed in. All of them will be IR (Infra Red cameras), wherein images can be stored for 30 days . It is for the first time that the Kanpur zoo and its activities has come under the scanner of the CCTV cameras. These cameras have been installed at entry and exit points in zoo near ticket window, outside office of director, both inside and outside ticket booking counters. The cameras will also be installed at kitchen and store. With the installation of four such cameras, the trials have been successfully done.Because of this  technologically advanced cameras the zoo authorities can learn more about the behaviour of the wild animals domesticated in the zoo.
In kitchen, these CCTV cameras will help to check whether the staff members are following guidelines or not while dealing with the feed of the wild animals. It would also help the zoo authorities to moniter the activities of the staff working at the ticket booking counters. The entry and the exit of the vehicles could also be seenThese cameras will be helpful and bring a change in the way security is maintained at Kanpur zoo

IP CCTV cameras for closer look on secretariat visitors

RANCHI: In order to monitor each and every moment of an individual on the state secretariat, Jharkhand police are installing 30 High Resolution CCTV cameras . These cameras will be placed in the strategic location, including the main gate, which will capture the image even during the rain and fog.
Since the state is sensitive and also more than thousands of people visit the place every day it is expected that most advance CCTV camera systems will help in monitoring the place Additionally director general S N pradhan said “Keeping in mind the need for upgrading security system on the secretariat premises where top decision-makes of the state sit, we have decided to install these cameras at all strategic points”.
The digital cameras will also help in monitoring  the officers to keep an eye from a distant place unlike analogue cameras in which case they (the officers) have to be stationary at the control room. "The moment there is some suspicious movement on the premises even late at night, the officer can pass necessary instructions to the policemen on duty," said a source.

Gurgaon city buses to get CCTV cameras

An official from the gurgaon has confirmed that all the city buses in Gurgaon will be installed with CCTV cameras .Added to that 100 new buses including 50 AC buses  and all the bus terminals across Haryana will be installed with the CCTV cameras. The Director General of State Transport MR.Arun Kumar told reporters that Rs.4crore has been alloted for the installation of these CCTV cameras to prevent mischeif in moving vehicles and bus terminals.He also conveyed that CCTV cameras will be fitted in city buses of Faridabad too.
